Pippin Penguins - little penguins with a big conservation mission!
Your Purchase Helps Protect Little Penguins/kororā
The little penguin/kororā is classified as "At Risk/Declining". These remarkable little birds face many threats, including introduced predators, habitat loss, disturbance at nesting sites, vehicle strikes, pollution, and changing marine conditions.
Funds raised through the sale of our Pippin Penguins and reusable coffee cups help Love Our Little Blues carry out essential conservation activities, including:
✅ Building and maintaining nest boxes
✅ Predator trapping programmes
✅ Habitat restoration
✅ Community education and awareness
✅ Monitoring penguin burrows and breeding success
✅ Trail cameras and other monitoring equipment
✅ Road and beach signage to protect nesting colonies
✅ Rescue and emergency care for injured or sick penguins
Every purchase helps us make a difference for these plucky little birds.
Whether you're looking for a unique gift, a cuddly companion, or an eco-friendly coffee mug, you'll be helping to protect our local little penguins/kororā for future generations.
Thank you for supporting Love Our Little Blues/Tasman Bay Blue Penguin Trust and helping us to care for our local blues.
